Role Summary
As a Data Scientist, You will undertake data collection, pre-processing and analysis to build models to address business problems and represent information using data visualization techniques, understanding human behaviour to determine what to look for in data. You will be at the forefront as this role would require strong collaboration across various teams and be the focal point for all stakeholders nearly in all functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for analysing and mining data to improve operational efficiency and drive optimization.
- Be highly data driven and customer/operations focussed to understand opportunities for improvement through deep analysis.
- Solving problems using statistical programming languages like Python/R to draw insights from large data sets.
- Ability to use predictive models to increase utilization/revenue and optimize customer experience.
- Build models for logistics optimization
- Build models for supply chain optimization
- Coordinate with different business verticals to implement new models and monitor outcomes.
- Assess the effectiveness of the data and data sources.
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, working on real-world projects.
- Proficiency in Python programming and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Strong data visualization skills using tools such as matplotlib, Plotly, Folium, Streamlit to effectively communicate insights from complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of classical machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
- Experience with time series analysis and forecasting methods.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application to data analysis.
- Knowledge of constraint optimization (OR-tools, python-pulp) is a plus.
