It is necessary to have a Certificate in Animal Care or an equivalent.
1+ years of companion animal handling experience, particularly in a shelter setting.
A thorough understanding of animal behaviour — both normal and pathological – is essential.
Confidence in handling companion dogs with a variety of personalities.
Ability to operate efficiently and successfully without supervision, as well as to prioritise everyday chores.
1+ years of retail or customer service experience is required.
Ability to cope with stress and deal with difficult emotions while remaining empathic.
Ability to handle private information.
