ABOUT YOU’s Pricing Team manages the balance between a fair consumer price perception, the growth of our shop and its profitability. We’re a passionate, international & diverse team of assortment experts, data scientists and machine-learning experts with different backgrounds from business, mathematics to computer science. We work in cross-functional settings and in close interaction with other departments such as Business Intelligence, Buying & Marketing.
As our new (Junior) Pricing Manager (m/f/d) you will not only analyze and steer the retail and sale prices for ABOUT YOU’s entire assortment in more than 20 markets but also deep-dive into pricing aspects of go-to-market strategies and competitive analytics. On top, you will play a key role in providing business insights to our Pricing Engine Team working on a machine-learning algorithm for price optimization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct operative price steering based on internal planning KPI as well as our competitive positioning for more than 20 markets
- Gain a deep understanding of ABOUT YOU’s assortment performance and deduct concrete actions for optimization
- Act as sparring partner for the Pricing Engine Team and communicate with other departments to align pricing measures
- Identify and develop new creative ideas or projects that boost our pricing approach
- Build and further develop robust reports to monitor performance KPI
- Enhance and drive implementation of automated pricing processes
- Conduct pricing A/B tests and quantify the impact of different discount types on ABOUT YOU’s performance
Requirements
- Strong academic record and degree from at a top university in Economics, Business or other disciplines with strong quantitative focus
- 1-4 years experience in Pricing, Controlling or Analytics - ideally with industry experience in fashion or eCommerce
- Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel)
- Stellar analytical skills and distinctive understanding of numbers (you need to like data…)
- Strong personality to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment
- Quick perception and structured working methods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English & German)
- Nice-to-have: SQL experience or interest in learning it
